Memorializing our friend Kevin Gerien

Hello friends and family of Kevin Gerien. We've started this small fundraiser in order to raise money for a physical memorial to Kevin. This will be a plaque or art object meant to be attached to the water tower at 345 Eldert Street, one of Kevin's favorite spots in the world, and the vantage from which he took thousands of wonderful photographs.
The details of the project are yet to be entirely determined, but we would like to affix something permanent, made of metal, and appropriately representative of the man, his art, his life, and his contribution to our community. Myself, Ron Hizkiayhu , Rodrigo Gonzalez, and David Zerykier will be responsible for seeing the project through, but we are very open to suggestions as to the specific form it might take, so please reach out with ideas.
Any remainder from this GoFundMe will go directly to Kevin's family, after the lesser expense of the project listed above is funded. We have increased our goal amount accordingly.
UPDATE: Kevin's family members could use some help with final expenses. They have been putting in a lot of work into taking care of his possessions, fulfilling his final wishes that they be distributed through the community and so on. Please consider helping them out.
