Meet Street Eat: A Slice of Hope
On the streets of Dorset, Meet Street Eat is bringing more than just wood-fired pizzas to those in need—it’s delivering warmth, hope, and a chance for a brighter future. Born from the compassion of individuals working at The Foundry in Poole and inspired by Purbeck Pizza’s legacy, this new initiative seeks to create a supportive community where no one goes hungry.
At the heart of Meet Street Eat is a belief in second chances. While our immediate focus is on serving delicious, high-quality pizzas to those in need, we aim to grow this initiative to include hands-on culinary training for homeless individuals in the future. By equipping them with valuable skills and experience, we aspire to empower them to build independence and work towards meaningful employment in the hospitality industry. Each pizza we create is a step towards fostering dignity, opportunity, and community.
To make this vision a reality, we are raising £1,000 to cover the costs of essential equipment, ingredients, and insurance to get us started. These funds will also allow us to operate the wood-fired oven kindly offered by our founder, Tim Kidney. Your support will ensure we’re ready for our first pilot event with Hope for Housing on 10th December. Together, let’s make a difference, one slice at a time.
