My name is Caitlin Serrano, and I am fundraising on behalf of St. Louis Park student athlete Deon Sewharack, a dear friend to my son and many others. Deon was critically injured during the last football game of his senior year. The injury occurred when a cleat landed on Deon's upper mid-section. As a result, Deon's pancreas was severed in two. Deon required emergency surgery at Level 1 Trauma Center HCMC to repair the damage. Deon spent several days in the ICU while in the hospital and needed around-the-clock care. Although Deon is home now, he has a difficult recovery in front of him. Deon's medical bills are steep, and we ask for your kindness in helping ease the burden of this debt.
