Medical expenses for Santoshi Chakka

One of our close acquaintance's older daughter Santoshi Chakka from Amalapuram, India aged 15 years is suffering from a rare medical condition Lymphatic Cancer also called Lymphoma. Lymphoma is a cancer of the lymphatic system, which is part of the body's germ-fighting network. The lymphatic system includes the lymph nodes (lymph glands), spleen, thymus gland and bone marrow. Lymphoma affects all those areas as well as other organs throughout the body.
She is currently undergoing treatment in Hyderabad, India and the total cost of the treatment, medicines, rehab and post treatment expenses are estimated at about Rs.2,700,000 (27 lakhs INR). She started getting chemotherapy treatments and this will continue next few months. The doctors are positive and assured that she would fully recover and get back to normal life soon. She is a very bright, lively and energetic girl and has never been sick or hospitalized until now. Though a little girl, she has the fighting spirit and is working extremely hard to defeat the deadly disease. She has a long road to recovery.
The family is well respected for their helping nature and participation in social causes around Amalapuram. They are in serious financial problems and cannot afford the cost of treatment. The family is tapping desperately all possible sources to raise funds to save their loving daughter. They were able to raise about Rs.700,000 (7 lakhs INR) so far. They still need Rs.2,000,000 (20 lakhs INR/$27,000) and they do not have the funds. They are hopeful that help will come in some form. We as well wishers, have initiated this campaign to bridge the remainder.
