Medical Care for Truffles the Schnoodle

Truffles the Schnoodle came in as an 8-yr old “stray” at Castsic Animal Shelter on 2/26/24 and was adopted out on 3/9/24 on medical health waiver (records attached) due to the amount of medical care he needs. I took him for his initial health assessment on Thursday, 3/14 at Aliso Niguel Animal Hospital (everything needed to get him healthy and thriving is attached). He is scheduled for full K9 chemistry panel and his DHPP & Bordetella boosters on Tuesday, 3/19 and will schedule everything else for the 1st week April. The remaining procedures (dental w/ dental x-rays, removal of 1cm mass on chest wall and cytology, thoracic x-rays to check for additional masses and assess heart size {vet has determined he has 3/6 heart murmur}, and medications to go home). His estimate is $1,150.40-$1,225.40. I’d also like to get him on NHV Hearty-Heart supplements to improve his overall cardiovascular health so his heart murmur does not worsen (~$100 for 6-mo supply). Note that the shelter vet did remove one 2cm mass at shoulder blades, but was not sent out for cytology so no pathology report. This secondary mass will be sent out for histopathology.
I still owe a couple thousand on Noah who as many of you know passed away 12/11/23 from kidney failure. I also have a wellness plan for Noah through Banfield which I have monthly payments of $68.95 through August 2024 (payments not forgiven when dogs pass on). I’m doing the best I can right now.
I am hoping all our friends could contribute a little bit to get Truffles all healthy so he can thrive. It would be a blessing to be able to pay for Truffles procedures in full and not have to put this on a credit card as I’m drowning in vet bills.
