Hi, my name is Marissa Melcher and I am proud to be the daughter of Jim Sheehan. You may know my dad from his many years working hard as a paramedic, flight medic, and base director for LifeStar and Medflight. You may know him as a neighbor and friend, always willing to lend you a helping hand or a tool. You may know him as your friend's Dad who always threw the best pool parties. The luckiest of us get to call him Dad and Papa.

However you know him, you now that Jim is a hard working and generous man, and has been an incredible provider for his family. It is now our turn to help take care of Jim.

Shortly after retiring from his career at Medflight, Jim followed up on some odd symptoms that led to a diagnosis of Bladder Cancer. In November, he had a surgery done for tumor removal and biopsy. He now is approaching another surgery on December 12th to remove more tumor growth. In 2024 he will start an initial Chemotherapy treatment to treat the cancer, with more to possibly come depending on how the treatment goes. This will include months of chemo, scans, scopes in addition to doctors visits and a lot of driving. This is why my brothers and I are asking for help to offset the medical costs that are not covered under insurance that our parents will be facing.

We are thankful for any and all donations, support, thoughts, and prayers for Jim and Chris in this season. After a life dedicated to his family, nothing would mean more to us as kids to help take care of our Dad. Thank you all so much in joining us in this.
