Meagan’s Rising Attorney Fees

Hello, I am Meagan’s Mom and Lorryn’s Lovey. A year ago, Meg & her then spouse amicably divorced on their own without assistance of attorneys. They developed a parenting plan that would leave Lorryn with a sense of home with Meg, her primary parent and liberal visitation for her other parent.

Lorryn was conceived with donated sperm. Meagan elected to carry her in utero, breastfed, delayed the return to her career in order to be the 24/7 hands on parent. Meagan’s only motivation and solo focus since our sweet Lorryn arrived on scene, has been to raise, nurture and caretake not only Lorryn’s physical well-being, but also her tender heart.

Meagan agreed to all requested divorce terms as long as she could remain primary parent for Lorryn. Meg’s former partner agreed, emptied bank accounts and took the lion’s share of belongings.

Three months later, Lorryn’s other parent hired an attractive and has been petitioning for half custody. Ten months later, a CFI investigation (who did not recommend half custody) and this drags on.

Something happened a month ago that has caused Lorryn to panic before she leaves to see her other parent. Each night that she is away, Meagan receives tearful calls and a plea that Lorryn wants to come home. A few weeks ago, when the other parent came to the house to pick up Lorryn, blood curdling screams were heard as Lorryn cried that she didn’t want to go. Then I witnessed a scene that I cannot erase. My sweet granddaughter ran into the house, army crawled across the living room floor so that she would not be seen by her other parent through the window. All the while, Meagan tried to calm and convince Lorryn to go enjoy her time with her other parent. Lo’s other parent phoned the police, found that they do not assist with situations involving a four year old that doesn’t want to leave home.

The gaslighting is out of control. Lorryn will meet with a counselor this week as we try to deter what happened to make her fearful of going with her other parent.

Unfortunately, this is escalating with no end in sight. Meg is an elementary school teacher, sells her plasma & doordashes when Lorryn is away to earn extra money. I am asking, humbly from the bottom of my heart for any assistance that you might offer to a loving mom just trying to keep her beloved daughter healthy, happy and safe.
