Max's New Bike

If you have met the dork in this photo even once, you'll know that Maxine Drake is the kindest, most giving, most capable soul you'll ever come across. She is always the one bunging in to help everyone. She's always got time to help a small business put its stock out of a morning, or drag it all in at night time. Along with another pillar of the Vic Park community, she organised and ran the Vic Park Farmers Market for years and helped to build the backbone of community that makes it such a wonderful event every week. She opens her heart and her home to everyone and anyone. She has what seems to be an endless well of compassion and generosity in her, and we've all felt the touch of her kindness at some point. 

You'll also no doubt know that Max is a rabid bike-rider and rides her faithful steed everywhere. I've got the inside information that she's got her eye on an upgrade, but...you know the story...there's always someone else to help. As far as Max is concerned, there's always someone more important than her. Isn't that sad? 

Please help me by giving a little, or a lot, towards Max's new bike fund. It's going to be such a thrill to see her rock up to events, hoon up and down the road yelling good morning to everyone she knows (which is everyone), and generally tear up the roads on a new treadlie. She is so passionate about bikes and for her to get her heart's desire would be just the absolute bees' knees. 

One more thing - it's Max's birthday in two days, on 21/3. Can you imagine how thrilled she'll be when she gets this GoFundMe with enough dollars for her to waltz to the bike shop of her choice and pick out any bike she wants? For someone who has spent her life making the world a better place - and succeeding mightily at it - that would be such a treat. 

Please help make that moment happen. Please help get Max on her new bike.
