He passed away today (July 10,2017).  He was just 20 years old. He first got sick at the age of 10 when he diagnosed with MELAS syndrome.  Last month he had just graduated from high school obtaining high honors. Matthew enjoyed watching Disney movies and going out on fun adventures. Matt is loved by his mother, father and brother. Along with many cousins, aunts, uncles and a loving grandmother and grandfather.  
His mother,  a single mom. She has been taking care of him on her own for the past 5 years. She was his sole caregiver. Always by his side. These past 2 weeks that he was in the hospital, she did not leave his side.  The last thing she ever dreamed of, happened.  As you may know, funeral expenses are extremely high, our family would greatly appreciate any help at all.
