Matt & Susie’s Baby Adoption

Hello everyone!

We can’t believe that we finally get to announce-

We’re adopting a baby boy!!!!

The journey of trying to start a family together has been a long and difficult one, but through it all we have grown to trust completely in God’s plan and timing.

We are honored to have been selected by a young woman to adopt her baby boy due at the end of January (but likely sooner!) We were able to meet her the very next day after receiving the phone call and it was such a blessing! Peace and reassurance were felt by everyone involved and we are absolutely ecstatic for this next chapter!

Although we have been hopefully planning for this moment for some time now it is still going to have a significant financial impact on us. Susie had been doing contract nursing and therefore will not be receiving any paid maternity adoption leave and we will be dependent on one income until we are able to solidify a future plan. The agency fees (which do help to cover most of the birth mother’s expenses) plus the legal fees will end up totaling close to 20k.

We wanted to give our friends and family the opportunity to help fund this process and support us as we loving welcome a new member to the family.
