Mark Stewart has dedicated the last 20 years of his life to bringing the joy of music through percussion to tens of 1000’s of young Australian school children. This week Mark suffered a catastrophic stroke which will change his life forever. Living alone in Narrabeen caravan park Mark had a stroke and was not discovered for 4 days. The effects are devistating and irreversible. He is paralyzed completely on his left side. At the moment he is in a ICU fighting for his life. Should he survive he will not only be never be able to perform music again, his only source of income, he will struggle to cope with everyday simple tasks. Mark has no family in Australia, no permanent address and very little if any money. He needs the love and support of his friends, music colleagues and community at large as he fights for recovery and then adjusts to an unrecognizable life.
