Maria E. Martinez

In 2016, Maria thought that there was something in her breast and she went to check if something was there. Her doctors did not inform her that she had breast cancer. At this point in time, Maria was also dealing with an ongoing divorce from her abusive husband who had repeatedly attempted to take her oldest child's life. In 2017, she noticed something wrong with her breast and her doctors at that point told her that she had stage 4 breast cancer that had metastasized to the rest of her body. From there, they had removed her left breast but she still had to fight against the cancer in her bones, liver, and lungs. This year Maria was getting better until cancer cells were found in her brain. As she was receiving treatments, she passed away at home on September 26, 2021.

Maria spent her last days giving all her strength and energy into serving her God Jehovah. She was a loving mother of two beautiful girls, Jacquelina and Gabriella Martinez. As a single parent, Maria did all she could to provide for her family during her fight against cancer.

These donations will go towards her surviving family members to assist with financial needs such as bills, food, and everyday essentials.
