Margaret Breault’s second fight with lung cancer
Don protégé
With a sad heart, we are again asking for donations for Margaret Breault in her second battle with Cancer. In March of 2023 the scans proved once again came that Margaret’s battle would be harder.
Margaret’s scans came back with numerous tumors that had spread to her brain and spinal cord and that immediate radiation to the brain was the first step. She received 10 rounds of radiation to her brain and 8 to her spine. This is the final time Margaret is able to undergo brain radiation due to the preventative she received in 2016.
Margaret’s health has been on a slow decline since early March and she has become bedridden and unable to eat. We ask again with heavy hearts to consider donating to Margaret Breault in her hardest battle.
We ask that if you would like to reach out to Margaret and the Breault’s to please send messages on Facebook, text or set up a time to call when she is feeling up to it.
In March of 2016, Margaret Breault started her battle with Lung Cancer. She was treated almost immediately and with the help of her doctors and love of her friends and family, she fought hard and kicked cancers ass. She was in remission status on October 19, 2016. We all rejoiced and Margaret fought and continued to remain in remission through her 5 year cancer free anniversary on October 19,2021. Margaret was finally “breathing” for the first time in 5 years.
In April of 2022 Margaret had a routine 1 year scan to check in on her lungs and health, and once again we got the news, the cancer returned. This time it returned in a lymph node in the center of her chest unfortunately making her cancer again inoperable.
Margaret was started on immunotherapy with “Keytruda” in April. In July, she ended up on the hospital two weeks in a row due to the laundry list of side effects caused by Keytruda. Since the Margaret has lost function in her right eye and is unable to drive or work. My mother made the tough decision to go out in disability to which she is still waiting for a response from the state.
Although we have been through this battle before, we ask again lovingly to consider donating to my family in this time of need, every little bit helps. For anyone who has ever had the opportunity to love Margaret or be loved by her, you know that she is the most selfless person in this world and will never ask for help for herself, but always give when she can and will not stop until she makes someone’s day brighter.
Margaret will continue to be strong as she will start her first round of 20 radiation treatments starting on November 11, 2022 with chemotherapy starting shortly after.
