Marc Thorpe's Fight Against Parkinson's
Beschermde donatie
Though I have made every effort to retain my independence, the time has come for me to admit that after more than 20 years of struggling with Parkinson's disease I need help. I can barely walk. My speech is slurred. And I have two electrodes in my brain delivering 4.5 volts constantly to minimize tremor. I need live-in help.
Live-in help will cost around $100K per year. . . so that is the amount i am trying to raise. This will enable me to continue to live where I am and to do the things I need to do but without the constant struggle I currently face on a daily basis.
A little about me: I created the sport of fighting robots, producing and directing the first four Robot Wars events in San Francisco from 1994 – 1997. before that I worked at Industrial Light and Magic making models and doing animatronic design for movies such as the Empire Strikes Back, return of the Jedi and the Indiana Jones trilogy to name a few.
