Marathon for LSVD

Hallöchen,

If you haven't already heard us yapping about it and seen that running has become our personalities, we are running the Berlin Marathon (our first ever marathon) on 29th September 2024 and have decided to try to raise some funds for an important cause that we care about while we do it.

We’re running to support MILES by LSVD, an organisation that offers crucial psychosocial and legal counseling services to LGBTIQ refugees and migrants. These services, which are free of charge and can be anonymous, help people who face challenges related to coming out, sexual and gender identity, housing conflicts, discrimination, and much more.

MILES also collaborates with the Refugee Law Clinic Berlin to provide qualified, LGBTIQ-sensitive legal counseling, ensuring that people with refugee or migration experiences receive the support they need. In addition, they work with organizations like the Berliner Arbeitskreis gegen Zwangsverheiratung to offer counseling to individuals facing forced marriage or violence based on their sexual and gender identity.
