Hello, everyone!
My name is Kimberly Liu, and this year I am honored to be a part of the Sacramento Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps. I am currently a member of Ayala High School's percussion ensemble and will be graduating this year. I've worked extremely hard these past 6 years to be where I am today, and the friends and memories made throughout the journey (from auditions to rehearsals to competing in WBA, BOA, WGI, etc.) are irreplaceable. I've grown so much since my awkward junior high days, all thanks to the friends/instructors who were there for me and who taught me to be the performer I am today. If you ask anyone who knows me, they will know how much I love this activity --- no doubt.
This upcoming summer will be my first experience in DCI, and Mandarins is a wonderful place to begin. It will be a dream come true to finally be able to say I've been part of a drum corps. However, this activity is not, by any means, free, and as I will be graduating and moving on to college this year, I've found myself struggling to balance everything financially.
Any donations towards helping me in my first DCI adventure will be greatly appreciated! I understand it is not possible to donate to every GoFundMe, but nevertheless, I will be extremely grateful for any shares/likes/comments/donations. Every little bit helps :)
