Hi, my name is Maggie. I am 24 from Orem, Utah. I struggle with some pretty severe depression and anxiety issues in addition to health problems. The anxiety has taken over my life. It has gotten to the point where leaving the house is a struggle. My anxiety makes it difficult to be in groups of people and crowds, which keeps me from activities I love and being with my family. I also unfortunately lost my job due to the level of anxiety it caused. In the past, my only relief has been picking at my skin until I bleed and completely isolating myself. I'm worried that it will get worse if I don't take care of the problem at hand. To help combat this problem, I have started taking the steps to get healthier, including therapy, medication, and now a service dog.


My dog Ophelia and I are currently working with a company in Salt Lake City. The company name Ty the Dog Guy. I've met with them several times and they are so wonderful and I trust that they will be able to help Ophelia get to where she needs to be. The problem is I don't have the money for the program; the total costs will come out to about $8,000. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I don't want to have to give up the things I love any longer because of this disability. I want to be able to attend Comic Con with my friends. I want to go out to movies and to dinner. But most importantly, I want to make sure that I am able to do the things that are absolutely necessary to survive, like working. I really want to make sure that my health is taken care of so that I can go out and live my life to the fullest. Thank you for your considerations. Please share with those that you know.
