Noah's Hospital Stay

Don protégé

As some of you know, Noah was born with a rare medical birth defect called Bladder Exstrophy along with other medical conditions that have truly affected his life. He has undergone over 100 different combos of surgeries, procedures, and tests in the 12 years of his life. We are looking at his next surgery happening on Sept 29, 2021 at the John's Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. This surgery is a 22 hour long surgery and leaves us in Baltimore for at least 8 weeks. Our last fundraising event allowed us to raise funds for Noah's service dog Journey as well as funds to help with housing. Yesterday we found out we are not going to be able to utilize the Patient Housing (homes like the Ronald McDonald house) due to the rise in Covid Cases. This bring us to tears for so many reasons. This patient housing allowed us to not be isolated during such a recovery time, as well as the life they provide during this time (food, housing, entertainment, etc). Instead of paying $1,400 for the 8 week stay for housing, we now have to pay $8,328 as we have been able to locate an AirBnB next door to the hospital. At least I can provide homecooked meals, and have a place bigger than a 1 room hotel. We are trying so hard to keep this all together and not lose our minds as we figure out all of this. The life of a medical complex child is just that: complex. It hurts as parents to watch your children go through all of this, and it hurts as parents to ask for help. We asked once before and we are doing it again. We are asking for prayers, miracles, and any help you can give. Our hearts thank you from the bottom of our hearts! The picture I have here shows Noah at his last hospital stay in Charleston for a kidney infection that appeared out of nowhere, showing signs of a lowering kidney function. This next surgery can help slow the process down along with giving Noah a better quality of life. Thank you for sharing our story.

So, the GofundMe states to have the following listed to help you all know why we are asking:

To raise the most money for a medical campaign, make sure you:

Explain what happened: Born with Bladder Exstrophy, Port Wine Stain, Glaucoma suspect, is incontinent, has kidney disease in left kidney.

Describe the recommended treatment: Bladder Augmentation (build a larger bladder), and have a stoma made for cathing.

Explain how soon you need the funds: Welllllll..........

Tell how these funds will help you or your loved one: Provide housing next to the hospital to provide a place for Dad or I while Noah is in the hospital and then the 5-6 week recovering time that is mandated to be done In Baltimore.

Explain if there are other ways you need help. PRAY!!!!!!

Tell potential donors how urgent your situation is: I think you all get the picture!

We also have set up Paypal: [adresse e-mail supprimée] or venmo: @Quillin-Lutz-1  if you would like to go that route as well.

Thank you for all the love Noah has received so far. We all Thank you and will keep all updated on this page as we move forward. Love, the  Lutz Family!
