2 time cancer survivor now fighting his 3rd battle
Hi my name is Jennifer Felix and I am Donald's wife.
My husband and I met in 2008. A year later in Oct. 2009, Don was diagnosed with Stage IV non Hodgkin Lymphoma b-cell, an inoperable and incurable disease. It is a smart cancer which means when it comes back it will be stronger and possibly mutate. So he was treated with the most aggressive type of chemotherapy, seen as he was 38 at the time and the kind of cancer he has runs in men at the age of 60+, to try and keep the cancer away for 8-10 yrs. The tumors were subsided in March of 2010.
In the fall of 2011, my husband's cancer did mutate into Stage II Follicular Lymphoma as a tumor in the roof of his mouth 1" away from his brain. He under went chemo again but the treatment failed. He ended up taking on radiation directly to his mouth. In 2012 my husband was a cancer survivor for the second time.
Just last year christmas, Donalds' cancer came back at a Stage IV. He is currently receiving out-patient chemotherapy at Roswell and also treatment at home for the following year.
Donald is a loving husband, brother, uncle, and my best friend.
With the many trips to Roswell, medical expenses and cost of prescriptions, donations are always appreciated. Thank you in advance for your efforts, time and donations.
