The Leonard Elevator/Mill  was built in 1900 and was the center of agricultural activity in the Village of Leonard until 2005, when it suffered a catastrophic roof collapse.  The residents rallied and the Village bought the property and began cleaning it up in an attempt to save and preserve it.  Now we have put a new roof on it, so we are moving on to repair the foundation and replace the tongue and groove siding which has made it a landmark along the Polly Ann Trail in Oakland County, Michigan.
Public support is the only way we can accomplish this preservation goal, and the donated funds will be strictly used for material and grant matching funds.
Once completed, it will be open for the public to see and go inside and glimpse back to the days when agriculture was central to life regardless of where you lived and worked.
