Help New York Harbor School

Donación protegida
New York Harbor School is a maritime school, that provides students with once in a lifetime opportunities to become certified in Maritime Fields. The school is leading the way with the Billion Oyster Project. (BOP) is a long-term, large-scale plan to restore one billion live oysters to New York Harbor over the next twenty years and in the process train thousands of young people in New York City to restore the ecology and economy of their local marine environment.

I am asking for all of us to show a little support to a school that is actually making a difference in all our lives. These kids work hard everyday to help improve our harbors, which will in turn protect us from future super storms like Sandy. 100% of the funds raised will be going to the school

Funds raised will also help the school with further research, CTE courses and the rowing team

Some of the courses include:

Professional Diving

Marine Biology Research

Aquaculture

Vessel Operations

Marine Systems Technology

Ocean Engineering

Students enroll in courses, which leads  industry certification in marine science or technology and includes a continuum of work-based learning experiences that extend student learning from the school classroom into a real-world, work-related context.

Any amount would be appreciated and if you can't donate at this time, please help spread the word.
