Fundraising help for funeral arrangements

Hi, my name is Tina and I am fundraising for my brothers funeral costs. Jose went in for a scheduled heart surgery on October 24, 2023. The surgery went great and his first week of recovery was going well. On November 6 he suffered a severe pulmonary hemorrhage and went without oxygen causing many serious post surgical complications. For the last four months he fought so hard to get better and come home. He overcame severe damage to his lungs, heart, and pancreas. The damage done to his kidneys was too severe to heal so at the end of March he was transferred to Mayo in Rochester for additional dialysis and to be put on the kidney transplant list. He was doing so well there we were making plans to finally take him home in mid April. On April 2nd he started acting tired. He didn’t have energy to do anything and he was sleeping all day. That night it was discovered he had a massive brain hemorrhage. They did a bedside shunt to relieve the pressure and then brought him to the OR for surgery. This saved his life but unfortunately did not work like they wanted it to. On April 3rd he went back for a second surgery where it was discovered that the damage to his brain was extensive and he would not live through it. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 4th. The love and joy he brought into the world will never be forgotten. He was a light for everyone that met him.
