Send Spanish Teacher to Spain!
Spende geschützt
Our mom, Susan Kornely, is retiring after 30 years of teaching Spanish at Marinette Catholic Central High School (also known as St. Thomas Aquinas Academy and Our Lady of Lourdes), as well as 10 years at Marinette High School.
If you are reading this, you probably know that Señora Kornely is an excellent teacher in many ways, from teaching her students to speak and understand the Spanish language to educating them about Hispanic culture, history, literature, and art. She goes above and beyond and has worked very hard for her students. We could go into more detail but prefer that you think of your own examples from your own experiences with her.
If you are reading this, you also probably know that teachers who work at Catholic Central are certainly not in it for the money. The dedicated teachers who stay long-term are there because they truly care about the school and the students. We'd say that 30 years is certainly long-term!
Our parents have a dream of going to Spain and walking the Camino de Santiago (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camino_de_Santiago.) It would be awesome if any of her former students and supporters who are able could donate to this retirement surprise. If you can do so, thank you! If not, we understand!
Also, we are collecting letters containing anecdotes/memories/stories about how Señora Kornely’s teaching has impacted your life. Please send a contribution to [E-Mail ausgeblendet] as soon as possible. The more submissions we can get, the bigger the smile this surprise will bring to our mom. Please help!
