Kim Murphy is a junior student athlete at Mercer University in Macon, GA.  She is a sweet, compassionate person who is loved by her team and so many others. 

Kim's parents, Doug and Cathy Murphy are from Syracuse, NY.  Many of us have seen them make the trip to see Kim play soccer at Mercer.  They have both worked very hard to provide for Kim and her sister.  Many of us could sense the love and pride they had for Kim.

Last week, Doug tragically passed away from a massive heart attack .  Sadly, Cathy has been battling cancer for many years and has been given only a few days to live.  Even though they both worked hard over the years to provide for Kim and her sister, Doug did not have the extra money to have life insurance. 

Kim is in desperate need of our help and would never ask for it herself.  I am certain it is hard for us all to imagine the pain that Kim is dealing with right now.  If we all could help ease some of the financial burden that she will encounter over these next few months, I know she would be extremely grateful.
