At Luxtripper, we are deeply saddened by the ongoing crisis in Sri Lanka and want to do our bit to help this incredible destination thrive again.

Sri Lanka has always been one of our most cherished destinations, and our team there are very much a part of the Luxtripper family. Our excellent drivers and guides are all local people with a deep knowledge and love for their country, but now that travel to Sri Lanka has been restricted and the cost of living has doubled, they are struggling to make ends meet.

We are very concerned about the livelihoods of our Sri Lanka partners and want to help in any way that we can. Therefore we will be funding relief packages for our Luxtripper service providers and their families. These include Jeep Drivers, Boatmen in Sigiriya, Excursion providers in Pidurangala, Tea estates & in Yala, and many more of the wonderful colleagues who provide a fantastic service for our clients.

Below are the list of items that will be included in the relief packs - which cost just £30 for a family of four and will be an enormous help to those who are struggling.

Sugar – 2 kg

Dhal – 1 kg

Tea powder (a powdered form of tea leaves) – 500g

Soya meat – 4 packs

Milk powder – 1 kg

Potatoes – 1 kg

Biscuits – 5 packets

Onions – 1 kg

Coffee powder – 200 kg

Flour – 2 kg

Body soap – 2 bars

Dish wash soap - 2 bars

Salt – 2 packets

Bengal gram – 500g

Laundry powder – 500g

Dried sprats – 500g

To show our support for this crisis, we pledge to raise £3,000 which will feed 100 families for a month, and would be grateful for any donations to help us reach our goal.

These packages are needed now so we will be sending donations from day one and on a continuous basis, rather than waiting for the total goal to be reached.
