Most of you know my two little shadows — my Yorkies, Troya and Lupita.

The morning of Sunday FEbruary 1st we woke up to every dog parent’s nightmare: our bed sheets covered in blood. We rushed Lupita to the emergency vet, where she was diagnosed with open pyometra, a life-threatening uterine infection that required immediate surgery within 24 hours to prevent sepsis.

Thanks to quick action and the incredible veterinary team, she has now undergone surgery. She is home, stable, and beginning her recovery — and for that, I am endlessly grateful.

However, this all came at an overwhelming financial cost.

As many of you know, I was recently laid off from work, which has made it extremely difficult to absorb such an unexpected emergency expense. I’ve included photos of the invoices so everything is fully transparent and you can see the reality of what this has involved.

Troya and Lupita are my world. They are my family, my comfort, my daily joy. I would do absolutely anything for them — and today I’m humbly asking for help to get through this moment.
