Luke Miller’s Journey Continues

Luke is starting a new treatment plan that will take place over the next 6 months. Each cycle is 28 days and he will do 6 cycles. He needs to go down to Houston the beginning of each cycle for a few days and twice in the first cycle as they monitor him more. He and Sarah headed down to Houston today (June 3) and they will be there until June 8. He is getting screened to qualify and also hopefully start the trial. He will be doing a form of chemo every day for 6 straight months…2 pills per day and an hour infusion once a month when he visits Houston. It’s a trial to research the effects of immunotherapy drugs on metastatic cancer that has returned.
Needless to say, all of this back & forth to Houston is going to continue to drain their finances… hotels, flights, car trips, food, and missed days of work for both of them!
