"Løve Oneself" Sea Turtle Mural

Donation protected
I have the opportunity to end this year (2019) with one of my biggest and soon to be favorite mural projects to date! I’ve found the perfect wall right here in Vero Beach, Florida and have teamed up with the Mental Health Association of Indian River County to create the perfect inspirational mural. My murals have always had the common theme of “love”, but this time it will focus on “Loving oneself”. The design for this mural will be of a giant sea turtle swimming with his shell painted in my street art style. I chose to use the sea turtle as my focus because the turtle is a symbol that signifies good health and a long life, also Vero Beach and the Treasure Coast are known for our sea turtles. Not to mention (the Mental Health Association is also re-releasing their turtles this year that you can find beautifully painted all over Vero Beach). What makes this mural different from most of my other walls is that this time I was only given the wall location. But no funding towards supplies- This means paint, scaffolding, respirators, spray-paint, labor. Since I partnered up with the Mental Health Association to create this mural, I’m not just raising money for my mural but also donating to a great cause! My goal is to raise between $6,000 and $8,000 with a large percent of the proceeds going to The Mental Health Association. Most of my murals I do alone, but this time I need YOUR help so that I can get this beautiful Idea can get off the paper and onto the wall. Please donate and help be a part of something Amazing. The beautification of Vero Beach, and the support of mental health and loving oneself. My goal will be to start painting December 21st and finish before the new year. The Mental Health Association in Indian River Countys Walk-In & Counseling Center offers Indian River County residents (children and adults) immediate mental health screenings, free of charge without an appointment. We provide a full range of mental health services and accept many insurances. The MHA also operates three Drop-In Centers, which provide a safe haven for adults with severe and persistent mental illness, open 365 days per year. Your support allows them to continue to offer these life-saving services to our community. It s okay to get help!   For more information head over to/contact: Xosweeneyart.com @crsweeney1 Mental Health Association of IRC  772-569-9788 www.mhairc.org
