Love and Support for the family of Damian Bailey
Donación protegida
The world lost one of it's best on the morning of Saturday, August 24th. Damian Bailey and his brother Kaleb were involved in a fatal crash on Mink Road in Pataskala, Ohio. By God's grace, Kaleb survived. Damian was lost to us.

Our lives were turned upside down in the blink of an eye. There simply are not words to express the depth of emptiness and grief that is felt by his parents, brother and sister, family and friends. No parent could ever be prepared for the loss of a child. A child whose future had yet to unfold. A child whose life was just beginning. A young man with a heart of gold, generous and kind, with goals and aspirations for his future.

Damian was truly a kind soul, with blue eyes and a smile that lit up an entire room. His gentle spirit and loving personality spilled over into every relationship he cultivated. He never missed an opportunity to see his family and never said goodbye without a kiss, hug and an 'I love you.' He was a brother that put in the extra little efforts that made every day a little easier. Whether hauling his 9 year old sister around on his shoulders or sitting in the stands to watch his 13 year old brother play ball, Damian was there.

A student at C-Tech, Damian also worked 3 jobs which seemed to suit him as his work ethic was unparalleled, even as a young man still in high school. He loved farming, fishing, antique everything (including vehicles that no one in their right mind would work on), bonfires with his friends, camping in the mountains of West Virginia, and spending every free hour with his friends and family.

Damian was wise beyond his years and that could be witnessed in his soft voice and relationships with people much older than his tender teenage years. He was as close as a young man could be to his great grandparents, carrying his grandma's purse anytime he was with her. As his great grandpa drew his last breaths in August 2017, Damian was there after laying with him all night offering comfort. That is the kind of person Damian was.

We simply cannot imagine another moment of our lives without his face smiling back at us. Full of life, he was the center of our family and one of the best friends anyone could ask for. His Circle of Friends stretched wide and their bonds ran deep. He was a brother to them and his loss has been a true devastation to so many in the community.

The outpouring of love, support, prayers and offers of assistance from friends and the community have been overwhelming. We are creating an avenue for those wishing to help with funeral expenses, as no parent is ever prepared to bury their child. Your support during this unimaginably painful time will allow his parents to cope with this tragedy as parents should... focused on the loss of their son.

Endless expenses are involved in burying a loved one, as well as offering a time and space for people to mourn. Unfortunately, their are also lost wages that carry his parents away from having the means to do so. Damian's 9 year old sister and 13 year old brother (who was involved in the crash) will need tremendous support and attention to move forward with their lives.

Your support will allow Melissa and Jon to cling tight to the two children they have here with them, and as a family they can heal.
From the bottom of our hearts... Thank you for your love, support, and prayers!
