Love and Hope: Jen's Healing Journey

This year marks a powerful milestone: TEN YEARS that Jen has been living - truly living - with cancer. And if you know Jen, you know that living in her world doesn’t mean just surviving. It means laughing deeply, loving fiercely, walking in faith, and showing up for life with grit and grace.

Over the past decade, Jen’s journey has been anything but easy, yet it’s been incredibly beautiful. It has been a story shaped not by disease, but by the undeniable presence of hope, healing, community, and unwavering love. Cancer may have made an entrance in this narrative, but it has never been the main character. That role has always belonged to Someone greater: Jesus.

So many of you have stood beside the Orr family with prayers, meals, check-ins, and deep generosity reminding them time and again that they are not walking alone. For this, the Orrs are immensely, tearfully grateful.

Now the story is taking a new turn.

Last spring, Jen’s cancer changed. After ten years of treatments, scans, and countless appointments, her oncologists no longer believe traditional chemotherapy would be effective. Jen, as always, is not putting her hope in medicine alone. Her eyes remain fixed on the One who has held her all along.

She is not giving up. She is shifting direction.

Rather than continuing with toxic, exhausting treatments that steal quality of life, Jen is now pursuing holistic and alternative therapies. These are treatments that aim to support the body’s natural ability to heal; therapies that offer dignity, energy, and real possibility. But as is so often the case, these options are not covered by insurance. They are costly, and they require urgent financial support.

This is where love gets practical.
