The family and friends of Louise Bethune are appealing to you for financial support for cancer treatments. It is imperative that we raise $40,000.00 dollars (forty thousand dollars) immediately for Peptide Receptor Radio Therapy (PRRT). According to Dr. Richard R.P. Warner, Mount Sinai School of Medicine’s Director of the Center for Carcinoid and Neuroendocrine, this procedure is the only option in prolonging her life! Please help us!
For some time now, Louise has suffered from carcinoid syndrome of the mid-region. It is a slowly developing form of cancer that impacts the digestive system which ultimately prevents the normal supply of nutrients and water to fuel the body. The condition manufactures: abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and heartburn.
Having exhausted all known treatments for the cancer in the United States, Louise was referred by her doctor for Peptide Receptor Radio Therapy offered in Germany. “Peptide Receptor Radio Therapy was innovated and perfected in Europe more than 15 years ago and has been in widespread use there since that time. It has proven to be the most effective treatment modality for inoperable advanced disseminated neuroendocrine tumor disease, particularly carcinoid,” says Dr. Warner. By the “grace of God,” the treatments have been successful in retarding the progression of Louise’s illness.
Like so many others stricken with cancer, Louise continues to work through the struggle by leading a “normal” life. However, the sad truth is - the disease is worsening rapidly. Although Peptide Receptor Radio Therapy is now available in Canada, Louise has expended the total of her life savings and other financial contingencies in traveling back and forth to Europe. Previous treatments have cost in excess of $10,000.00 (ten thousand dollars) on a quarterly basis which comes to the $40,000.00 (forty thousand dollars) we need to raise. She doesn’t have any more money and now needs our help!
