Hi, my name is Kareen and I’m fundraising to help my neighbors who lost their motel, their home, and all of their personal belongings in the recent flood. Freda Hollyer and her husband have owned, worked at, and lived at the Inn by the River for the past six years in Hardwick, Vt. They turned a vacant building into a place people enjoyed visiting and staying at. They worked daily to improve the property and make upgrades to the Inn. They are at a loss as they did not have flood insurance and also no longer have her husband’s work tools for him to clean up and rebuild with. Along with most of their building half their land is gone, but Freda says their ideal dream would be to rebuild the motel somewhere else in Hardwick. Freda said that Without insurance, God would have to provide for that, perhaps through FEMA and donations. A local church is hosting them until they can get back into their own place.
