Lois Jean Jones Young Dancer Fund
Tax deductible
Jean Jones transformed her life through dance. She danced her way out of the tenements of the Bronx and was passionate about teaching, knowing how the discipline, beauty, and expression of dance can transform young lives.
Jean taught dance to hundreds of students at Ballet Arts School in San Antonio for many years. She died on November 7, 2017, and her family and friends are honoring her life by supporting dance students at Alamo Arts Ballet Theatre, the non-profit performing company in residence at Ballet Arts School.
Through the memorial fund we will support dancers who need financial assistance for dance expenses such as:
*pointe shoes
*jazz and tap shoes
*leotards and costumes
*travel to auditions and workshops
*participation fees
Through this fund, we hope that lack of money should never be the reason a student doesn't dance, if she or he really wants to.
The Jones family thanks you for remembering our mother, who was a vibrant and beautiful woman who brought the inspiration of dance to everything she did.
Please honor Ms. Jean by donating through this site.
Or write a check to Alamo Arts Ballet Theatre for any amount. Write "Jean Jones Memorial" in the memo on the check and send to:
