Logan's Birthday to benefit DHC
On Halloween, as we were driving to go trick-or-treating, Logan saw a homeless man on the side of the road. We had talked before about what it means to be homeless. He told me he felt sad for the man and he wanted to give him something to make him feel better; like a blanket or pillow. He then got a glimmer in his eye and said "I know mom! Instead of toys for my birthday, my friends could give me things that I could give to homeless people!"
So this year, for his 7th birthday, Logan is giving back to our homeless neighbors through the Downtown Hope Center. I contacted them and they said their greatest need right now is jelly (for sandwiches) and warm socks. All money raised through this campaign will be used by Logan to buy those two items to give to the Downtown Hope Center.
Any amount goes a long way in purchasing these items and making a difference for our neighbors. Thank you!
