LIFE SAVING SURGERY NEEDED ... ECCO DESERVES IT
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Nyrene and I am here asking for help for my mum's beautiful boy Ecco her St Bernard Pup. Ecco is her dream dog and was gifted for her 69th birthday. He is only just turning 1 and unfortunately he has spent most of his young life back and forwards to the vets after he was diagnosed with elbow dysplasia. My mum has spent the last 6 months driving approximately 250 mile round trips to the vet specialists, and spends her days sleeping in the car in the vets car park. She has up to now spent £12'000 on his care and sadly her funds are running out. She won't ask for help …. so I will, as we have come too far to give up. I know it's a big ask but I have to try.
Ecco needs to go back to the specialist and be kept in hospital for a period to fight off a superbug that has taken hold of the elbow (very limited and expensive antibiotic needed). Surgery needs to take place once again when we gain control of the superbug to remove some if the bone that is floating and may very well be causing the infection. ( He originally had pins put in which eventually came loose and had to be removed this is plan B)
If we can't raise the funds they have advised us that euthanasia would be the only option as limb removal would not be an option due to his size. We have all evidence of past work carried out and the vets can confirm this too.
My mother has spent the last 40 years running a non-profit animal rescue and takes in dogs that are abandoned & abused. She takes dogs in that their owners can no longer have due to housing or health. No breed is discriminated against and no dog is ever put to sleep no matter how long they reside with the rescue. They stay forever if they need to. She has raised funds to cover their sometimes much needed medical care. She does this with her very valued volunteers and supporters of her rescue. She will always continue to do this. (Alpet Poundies Rescue) should anyone want to confirm my story.
So I hope that all the dog lovers out there, far and wide can find it in their heart to donate to try and save her baby boys life and give a little back.
If you have read this far. Thank you and your support would be gratefully received.
Should we so happen to exceed the amount needed all funds will go to the running of Alpet Poundies Rescue to continue the care of dogs that are in need of a second chance.
