Little Remie's Fight

Tasha here, Andrew's sister, with permission from Andrew & Gab Okones I have set up this fundraiser to help offset the costs of Remie's medical journey the last 2 weeks and weeks to come.

Remie was taken to the University and admitted to the PICU with some kind of infection around her neck on Sunday March 5th. On Remie's 1st birthday the 10th, things went downhill and she received a procedure to drain the infection the next day. Since then another surgery was done to place a drain tube as the infection was entering her chest. This seems to be working and finally after 6 days of a "sleeping" baby(heavily sedated) they will finally remove the breathing tube so she can wake up today! Which also means they can be moved out of PICU in the next day or so and then hopefully home is the next step. Remie will come home with a pic-line and a possible surgery in the coming months to repair a congenital malformation of a artery that they believe might be the originator of the infection.
