This picture is of Linden on her 5th Birthday a the Ronald McDonald house in Memphis, TN. Two years ago, just a few weeks after Linden's 3rd birthday, her Mom, a message therapist, was giving her a little message, because Linden was just not feeling very well, while doing so she felt a small bump on her leg. They took her to Children's Hospital in Denver to have it looked at, a CAT scan was ordered immediately and so began this terrible journey. None of the news was good and within a week they had the diagnosis that Linden had a rare form of cancer that would require a minimum of 1 year of treatment. They are now entering the third year. Everything is being done to help this sweet, shy lovely little girl, including clinical trials at St. Jude's Hospital in Memphis, to no avail and now back a Children's hospital here in Denver.
As you can imagine it has taken it's toll on this family not only emotionally but financially as well, with so many Doctors appointments and hospital visits, it's impossible for either parent to work. We are counting on the doctors to take care of Linden's health, their family is doing what they can to take care of their emotions, we are asking that you do what you can to help out financially. This money will go directly to the family to help pay for the basics; the mortgage, utilities and food.
I've known this family for many years and they are an inspiration to see how they handle the impossible with love, compassion and strength that knows no limits.
Please, give what you can and know that the family is eternally thankful.
