Yesterday, my best friend received a call that no parent should ever have to receive. Their sweet, perfect, beautiful little baby boy was found unresponsive during his nap at daycare. He was transported to St. Lukes, where they were unable to bring him back to us.
Their little IVF miracle that they waited 9 years for is now their guardian angel. We had 4 precious months with him and that is all we will ever get. We have to believe that the world was just not ready for such an amazing little boy. We are devastated, numb, and completely and utterly heart broken. There are no words to explain the feeling of seeing parents so badly wanting to hold their baby boy again, and not being able to. There are no words to describe the feeling of having to kiss his lifeless body goodbye. There are just none.
Services will be held on Saturday April 7th from 10am-12pm (calling hours) with a funeral to follow. They will be held at Owens Pavlot funeral home in Clinton. The Boro will graciously be holding an after services celebration of his sweet, short life. We are open and welcoming to visitors. People coming in and out is honestly the only thing that has gotten us through the last 24 hours.
I don't really know what else to say. Lincoln had so many people rooting for him from before he was even conceived, and this is truly the worst time of our lives.
No matter who walked though the door, he had a smile and laugh that was contagious and would light up the room. This world was just not ready such a perfect little boy.
This is and will be a long process for the family of Lincoln, any contributions will be greatly appreciated to help with the expenses.
We love you Lincoln Wayne
