Hello Lil' Lou’s Warrior Crew:

It is hard to put into words how extraordinary our little Lou Man is. Yet, while life puts this test in front of us, what better time to figure out just the right words.

Louis Garrett Seiler IV's full of life personality was present from the beginning and his big chunky cheeks made you smile just looking at them. He constantly brings so much light and joy into this world with his contagious smile and his ability to make everyone laugh. He is a total outdoorsman and nature lover, while also being an extremely dedicated Fortnite competitor. He is our goofy boy who is daring and loves to try new things and adventure, all while learning the histories/stories of the things he sees. He loves to read/write graphic novels and draw Pokémon or Fortnite characters. He is a skilled athlete, crushing it in both baseball and the art of Jiu-Jitsu; a fierce warrior through and through. He loves to talk with his friends all day sharing videos, funny pictures and getting together while playing video games. He loves and cares for his family and friends fiercely and has a heart big enough to hold the world inside. He is sensitive and strong, never wanting to hurt anyone, and the first to come to the defense of others. He is our Lou, our chunky little baby boy, who has grown into such a handsome young man.

Early Saturday morning on June 20th, Louie woke up with an excruciating headache and not feeling well. They got him to the Emergency Room and the staff began to run tests and tried to give Louie some medicine to help his nausea/vomiting, but he was unable to keep anything down. The doctors ordered a CT scan for Louie, where they saw a mass on his brain that was bleeding. Louie was then rushed to Children’s Hospital where he had another CT done.  The second scan showed the mass was a blot clot that had built up pressure, resulting in him suffering a stroke.  In order to reduce the swelling in the brain they scheduled an emergency craniotomy. The surgery went well and the doctors were able to remove his breathing tube immediately! The nurses said they've only seen this in one other child in their fifteen years of experience. He is strong and he is a fighter! There are a lot of unknowns and a lot of testing that still needs to be done. While our Lou Man is in stable condition, he is still at a very critical stage and has a long road ahead of him. Our Louie is so strong and the nurses at the hospital are calling him the “Miracle Boy”; he is fighting so hard!

Lil' Lou, Erinn (his mom) and Louie III (his dad) will be at the hospital for what is expected to be several months as they navigate the path to recovery. While mom and dad are with our Lou, the last thing we want them to be stressing about are life expenses. With extended leave from work and the costs of living out of the hospital/hotels, we want to make sure that the financial worries are not an extra burden. We have had many people reach out and ask about making donations to the family, so we decided to set up this GoFundMe page. While we are all in this together, fighting as a united family, we think it is important to mention that this financially affects mom’s and dad’s households separately. A designated bank account has been established by Lil' Lou's grandmother, Lindsay LaMarche. Everything that is donated will be split equally between the two families to help offset any financial burdens. We appreciate everything that has been done and will continue to be done as the family fights hard to overcome. It is humbling to see the generosity and endless amounts of love and support that have been shown thus far.

We ask for your continued prayers and positive thoughts through this very difficult and scary time. We have an army of love surrounding our little man and the family, and we believe strongly in the power of positive energy and prayer. Together we are stronger, and with Lil' Lou's Warrior Crew behind him, we know that our Lou will not only beat this, but WILL come back smarter and stronger.
