Light House Women's Home
Tax deductible
The Leadership Ottawa County Class of 2018 (LOC) is raising funds for the purchase of a Women's Home for Light House Sober Living (LHSL).
The need for a recovery home for women of Ottawa County is evident. Our plan is to open a Level 2 Recovery Home, mirroring the operation of the current Men’s Home. We have seen many accomplishments and milestones materialize for the men we have served and would like to see the same resources become available for women. Addiction does not discriminate based on gender.
The LHSL Board of Directors is preparing a grant for capital funding to obtain a physical structure for a women’s recovery home. Funds raised from the LHSL and LOC partnership will be utilized as the matching funds required for the grant funding being pursued by the LHSL Board of Directors. With the power of the state match, every dollar you give will make a much larger contribution to our goal. For example, a $10 donation will have the impact of $40 or a $50 donation will have the impact of $200. Over the coming months, you will see a variety of fundraising activities for this project, but right now you can show your support by contributing to this GoFundMe.
Any size donation will make an impact so please give if you can.
The mission of LHSL is to provide our community with a safe and secure home of hope, healing and life for all persons of Ottawa County in recovery. The vision of LHSL is to strive to create productive and engaged individuals to return to the community and live as upstanding citizens.
Leadership Ottawa County (LOC) is an annual community leadership development program that brings community members and business leaders together to learn about Ottawa County from an ‘insider’s perspective,’ as well as to share their own unique experiences and backgrounds with one another.
