This campaign started out to ease the burden of medical expenses, unfortunately our beautiful heart warrior has lost her battle with CHD.  Now I am asking for help relieving the burden of laying Lexie to rest.

--My name is Sophia Alexis Stanley; although I prefer Lexie. I was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. I had my first open heart surgery when I was 7 days old. I am now 3 years old and had to go in to Egleston Children's Hospital of Atlanta for another surgery to repair my heart. This surgery was for my Fontan and to repair my tricuspid; unfortunately all did not go as planned. My tricuspid was much worse than the doctors knew (in the future, I will need a mechanical one) and my body was so sick that it didn't react as hoped. A blood clot in my pulmonary artery cut off all blood flow to my left lung and the left side of my body was not getting oxygen. The doctors went bacon in and did an angioplasty and placed a stent. They penetrated (poked a hole in) my Fontan and opened my chest to relieve pressure and help get the fluid off my body. I am heavily sedated and the doctors have me paralyzed so that machines can do the work and give my little body a break.
Things are hard on my Momma too. My Momma was my Mimi, but she loves me and my sister Maddie so much that she adopted us. My Momma has been by my side since the day I was born and has never left. I know she is scared.
Please help in any way possible. This is tough and worrying about how to get through it is tough too.
