My name is Nancy Greiner, and I’m reaching out with a mother’s broken heart. My 33-year-old son, Justin, has battled type 1 diabetes since he was just one year old. Over time, the disease has ravaged his body, and today, he is suffering from heart, lung, and kidney failure. He is currently in the hospital, where doctors have given him two heartbreaking options: start dialysis or enter hospice care.

But what’s hurting Justin even more than his physical condition is the emotional pain of being separated from his 9-year-old daughter. Due to years of court battles and repeated violations of a court-ordered visitation agreement by her mother, Justin hasn’t been allowed to see or speak to his daughter in over three years.

This ongoing legal fight has drained us emotionally, physically, and financially. The stress has taken a toll on both of us—I’ve even been hospitalized myself. Now, my son’s one and only dying wish is simple: to see or speak with his baby girl again.
