Layla's Emergency Surgery!
Donation protected
I've been trying to think of ways not to write this like the sob story that it is. There's a part of me that exists that cowers at the notion of asking for help from strangers, or from anyone, really.
Last night I spent 5 hours in an animal ICU to be told my family's 7 year old yellow lab Layla has an infection that could spread to her uterus and kidneys in a matter of days and she needs surgery NO LATER than tomorrow or she will certainly die in the coming weeks, maybe sooner.
Currently my mother is battling breast cancer. This alone was an unexpected medical cost that has seriously drained our family's financial resources. I work 2 minimum wage jobs myself but I know full well I cannot muster up $2,200 in time to save my Lay's life.
Layla provides our family with such joy and unconditional love through the turmoil that has recently fallen upon us. Losing our spunky girl would cause unspeakable damage to all of our hearts. The love I alone have for this pretty pup could wrap around the world. She's a young girl, perky and honestly a little bit crazy, and I just want 7 more years of loving her and seeing her wiggle and cry with excitement when I come back from being on tour for weeks.
At this point we're really just hoping for some type of miracle to happen. It is reluctantly, but desperately that I ask that you please share, promote, text this campaign around to friends and family, and to please consider donating whatever you are able.
Thank you so much for your support and understanding, I so desperately hope to post about her recovery should the universe be in our favor and keep our Layla around with us.
