Please Help Lawrence Arriaga.
Lawrence Arriaga (also known as “Mother” to his past fellow rugby players and Kiwi friends) is an awesome Man of God and a loving, caring Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, School Teacher, past Youth Minister, Coach, and Rugby Player. In October 2018, Lawrence began having complications with a minor blister on his foot. This medical problem lead to several surgeries including a partial bone amputation to the side of his foot. These complications returned in March 2019 when Lawrence developed another blister on the side of his foot as he commuted back and forth on the train to Downtown Los Angeles where he works as a school teacher. Despite receiving constant medical attention, we were told by Lawrence’s podiatrist that this blister was not infected and to continue the necessary wound care at home. After developing a low grade fever on April 17, Lawrence was admitted to the emergency room. We were told there that his right foot had a very severe staph infection. Lawrence was immediately put on strong antibiotic IVs and several emergency procedures/surgeries were conducted to try to stop the staph infection. After no success with stopping the infection, the doctors gave us the only other alternative --They needed to conduct a below the knee amputation with the hope that the staph infection would not spread throughout Lawrence’s body.
On the evening of April 21 (Easter Sunday), Lawrence had his below the knee amputation surgery. He was released from the hospital a few days ago and currently continues to heal and recover at home.
We humbly started this “Go Fund Me” to please ask for help with Lawrence’s continued medical expenses and other living expenses that have already incurred as well as future expenses.
