I am also my own target market: a midlife woman emerging from trauma & trial on the path to a better future in this second season of life!

WHERE AND WHY IT BEGAN:

Between 2013 and 2019, my life changed drastically following a major car accident that brought on long-term, chronic pain, making it impossible for me to continue working in the corporate world. Leaving my career was a profound emotional and financial challenge, but it also opened the door to a deeply meaningful creative journey.

PURPOSE:

Today, I am turning my personal adversity into a purposeful business endeavor that I need your support to bring it to life. It's called Narrow Gate Greeting Card Co.—a midlife, women-centered greeting card and gift box company. This is my path toward providing financial security for my family while using my current window of opportunity to serve others.

This brand is designed to celebrate, uplift, and bring humor and comfort to women navigating the beautiful complexities of midlife.

The Meaning Behind "Narrow Gate"

The name Narrow Gate carries a deep spiritual meaning. It represents the narrow path of faith and the choice to do what is right—putting the everlasting benefit of others before self, a self-sacrificing course that not all choose to take. It also speaks to the profound impact we can make even when dealing with limited resources.

TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

My goal is not to change the entire world, but to use my measure of talent & skill to make a genuine difference in individual lives. A greeting card may not be life-changing, but it can shine a sudden ray of light into a woman's day that sparks hope, change, and comfort. It may not be everything, but it is worth something in the lives of individuals who need to feel seen, understood and appreciated.

SOME BACKGROUND:

While chronic pain often limits my physical mobility, it has not diminished my passion or productivity. Over the last few years, I have poured my heart and energy into creating. I have fully designed well over 500 items, including greeting cards, note cards, bookmarks, tee shirts, hoodies, coffee mugs, and journals, just to name a few.

The foundation is built; the creative work is done (and continuing daily). Now, I need your help to take these designs off my laptop screen and into the hands of people who need them.

Narrow Gate Greeting Card Co. features three distinct signature card styles, including one line designed to speak directly to women's hearts:

The Real Talk Collection: Cards written in a friendly, honest, and deeply sincere tone. It feels like getting a warm hug or a real, unfiltered piece of advice from your best friend.

The Minimalist Collection: Short, to-the-point, and visually clean designs. These cards capture powerful emotions using just a few perfectly chosen words.

POETRY & PROSE WITH A PURPOSE:

There is also a nonprofit branch developing to support women in physical and emotional crisis. This is key to becoming the philanthropic brand that I envision for Jess Vaughn Creatives dba Narrow Gate Greeting Card Co.
