Land of Love Mosaic Mural

Donación protegida
Mosaic artist Angie Talle was inspired to create a collaborative piece of artwork with her community, in response to the hateful messages that President-elect Donald Trump has been spreading throughout the country.

It is a visual message of love to all those who feel marginalized, scared and under threat in this time…people of color, immigrants, women, the LGBT community, people with disabilities, the poor.

The mural features the statement "This land is your land, this land is my land" along with poignant portraits of a diverse group of Americans.

Angie worked with volunteers to create the mosaic panels, and fellow artist Amy Anderson photographed the portraits.

The piece is 12’ wide by 8’ tall and will be transported in separate panels by women from Minnesota who are going to the march on Washington. A frame will be built for it on site the day of the march.

Hand crafted ceramic birds, hearts and flowers were created by artists Mary Deneen and Martha Winter.

Angie would greatly appreciate any contribution toward the cost of the project. The total cost of production was $2,190, including all materials, labor to create the frame, photography gear rental and bags to enable the panels to be transported.
