Kylie's Italy Study Abroad Program
Donation protected
After this coming Spring semester (2018), I will no longer be recieveing TOPS, as it will mark the end of my four years here at ULL. I will need 9 additional credit hours to graduate. I figured earning those last 9 credits over 6 weeks in Italy would be the perfect way to end undergrad with a bang. In total, the program costs about $6,820. This includes tuition, lodging, transporation, and admission to museums across Florence. This does not include my airfare, estimated to cost at least $1200. Additionally, my rent and bills back home will still need to be covered while I'm away (another $1000).
On December 15th, a downpayment of $500 is due to solidify my spot. From Februrary 25th to April 25th, I will need to make monthly payments of about $2100. Thanks to some wonderful, ever-supportive family members, I'm already positioned to pay for the downpayment and one of the monthly installments.
If at all possible, I'd like to avoid raking up any more student loans than necessary for this experience. Once I submit the $500 downpayment, I will be clear to apply for study abroad scholarships (it'll be a lot of them, wish me luck). Anyone who knows me will know that I hate asking for help.
So truly, I'm hoping that I'm accepted for at least one scholarship/grant to cover a good chunk of this. But if you'd like to support me in any way at all (really, no matter how small), I'd really appreciate it.
Grazie!
