Kukucka Photography fundraiser for Behind the Mask

Behind the Mask is an ongoing pandemic photography project that asks the question, "Who are you behind your mask?" Who are you behind the labels and definitions of your life and circumstances, and what would you like us to know about you, in one quotable sentence? This is a question I explore with just two photographs of each subject - one with the mask on and one with the mask off. And I invite them to tell me who they are behind that mask.
I am asking for financial assistance as I continue to document the country with what began as a curiosity in April of 2020. To date I have photographed over 100 people, and I will continue to work on this project until we no longer need our masks.
I currently I have a 50 piece exhibit of this work that will be touring the country, premiering on November 5th (opening reception from 7-10 pm) at the Ohringer Gallery in Braddock, PA. My intention is to publish a book on this unique project, which I will submit to the United States Library of Congress as a documentary on the Cover pandemic. There would be no greater honor for this photographer.
