Kristin Hanson Breast Cancer journey

Hello, I am Pat Tuttle(A.K.A Kristins Mom) I am creating this site so I can help my daughter in all ways possible! She will be out of work at least 3 months possibly longer, with her double mastectomy, then reconstruction surgery 1 month or so later.

Kristin‘s journey started on December 5, 2023. That is the day she found a lump in her breast. The next morning when she got up, she called the doctor and then a bunch of exams imaging and testing. Then December 15 is the date she was told that that lump was definitely cancer. She set up an appointment with the surgeon that her regular doctor suggested Kristin met with that surgeon and automatically knew that that was the one she wanted to take care of her after that, she met with the Plastic surgeon to see if she was a candidate for reconstruction surgery after her double mastectomy. Kristin is a good candidate for reconstructive surgery so on February 5, 2024. Kristin is going to have surgery at North Memorial and Robbinsdale where she will be spending the night And then there is a wonderful care team that will be taking care of her at her home. She cannot be left alone for the first two weeks. Family and friends have stepped up to help her during this journey. At this time we are just asking for many prayers for 5 February that Surgery goes as good as it can and they are able to get all of the cancer. Then there is tissue and lymph nodes. Going to pathology to determine if she will need chemotherapy.
