April 23rd Yonge and Finch Van Incident Fundraiser
On April 23, 2018, 10 people were killed and 15 injured after a van drove recklessly down Yonge Street in the North York area of Toronto, mowing down pedestrians along the way. This fund is set up in remembrance of the victims of this senseless tragedy and will be sent to the victims families to assist with funeral and other necessary costs.
This fund is set up and organized by Korean Community. Mr. Kim, the chair of Korean National Unification Advisory Council (NUAC) Toronto Chapter, will be withdrawing the funds from this campaign. NUAC is one of most prestigious group in Korean Community, and organized volunteer team to support victims and family. Over 50 people are volunteering in riding, cook and delivery, translation, housing, etc. All of raised fund will be given to the Korean victim's families via check or cash.
Our prayers and thoughts are with all those who were affected by this tragic incident. Stay strong Toronto!
